QA Engineer (Game Development).

Playcus, developer of top-rated games for Mobile and PC platforms, seeks a QA engineer for their team.

// responsibilities

  • Document bugs with clear and straightforward reproducible steps and check similar issues being tested
  • Maintain bugs in the database through their entire life cycle
  • Perform testing assignments with limited supervision
  • Identify issues outside normal test boundaries
  • Report on user experience and test results, escalating when necessary
  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Effectively report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Take part of an agile team, working closely with developers, QA, DevOps
  • Execute results in analysis and improvements suggestions

// qualifications

  • IT background in Game Development considered an advantage
  • Ability to identify bugs, duplicate them, perform research, and track lifecycle
  • Detail-oriented and organized thought process
  • Proactive mindset with multitasking ability
  • Positive attitude, good people skills, effective team collaboration

  • Translate requirements, storyboards and use cases into functional web applications
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable C# code
  • Track down and identify bugs and defects, finding solutions
  • Document delivered features, enhancements and functionality
  • Understand business requirements from user stories and perform refinement
  • Plan iterations with product owner and team
  • Augment game features with Unity 3D and C# scripting
  • Modify existing designs to improve user acceptance through A/B testing
  • Ensure optimal performance, quality and responsiveness

// qualifications

  • 1–3 years hands-on coding experience
  • Proven involvement in multiple software projects
  • Experience with Issue/Bug trackers like JIRA in agile environments
  • Highly skilled C# / Unity3D / JavaScript Developer
  • Development experience for mobile and desktop
  • Comfortable integrating back-end APIs with front-end
  • Good instinct for choosing appropriate problem-solving tools
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
